Privacy and personal information

Privacy policy

Prayer and prophetic ministry can involve information that is personal, spiritual and sometimes sensitive. I aim to collect as little as reasonably necessary and use it only for the purpose for which it was provided.

Information that may be processed

Sensitive information

Prayer and personal ministry can reveal religious beliefs, health information, relationship circumstances or other sensitive matters. Request forms therefore ask for explicit consent where sensitive information may be processed. Please share only what is genuinely necessary. Information about another person should not be submitted without an appropriate reason and permission.

Information received about a gift recipient

If someone asks RequestWord to deliver a Gift Personal Prophetic Word directly to you, RequestWord may receive your name and email address from that requester rather than directly from you. The requester must confirm that you have agreed that your email address may be provided for the request. The details are used to administer and deliver the requested word. The first direct email explains who supplied the details, links to this Privacy Policy, and tells you how to ask RequestWord not to continue.

Purposes and legal bases

Depending on the context, ordinary personal information is processed because it is necessary to take steps at your request or perform a requested paid service (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)), comply with legal, tax or accounting obligations (Article 6(1)(c)), or pursue legitimate interests in securely administering RequestWord, preventing misuse and responding to enquiries or complaints (Article 6(1)(f)), where those interests are not overridden by your rights. Where a form specifically asks for consent, consent is the basis for that consent-based processing (Article 6(1)(a)). Prayer or personal ministry can reveal special-category information such as religious beliefs or health information; where RequestWord asks for explicit consent to process such information, that processing relies on the explicit-consent condition in Article 9(2)(a). Please share only information you genuinely want used for the stated purpose.

Giving and monthly support

When you make a one-time gift or start monthly ministry support, RequestWord processes the contact and transaction information needed to administer the gift, send receipts and management information, maintain payment and accounting records, and respond to support-related enquiries. Because RequestWord is a Christian ministry, information connected with your support can also be sensitive personal information. The giving form therefore asks for explicit consent for that sensitive aspect of the information connected with your support. Consent can be withdrawn for future consent-based processing, but payment, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention or legal records may still be retained where another lawful basis or legal obligation applies.

Monthly Personal Word plans

A Monthly Personal Word plan links recurring payment information to the shared RequestWord person record. After each successful monthly payment, RequestWord creates a normal Personal Prophetic Word request in the ministry queue and links that request back to the paid billing cycle. The plan sign-up records explicit consent for sensitive personal information connected with the personal ministry, together with the recurring-payment and early-performance acknowledgements shown before payment. Each monthly Personal Word request is then handled under the same privacy principles as an ordinary Personal Word request.

Prayer requests

Prayer requests may contain religious, health, family or other sensitive information. Prayer requests are stored in the RequestWord ministry database and administered separately from Personal Word, Mentoring and Gift requests. The shared person record can be used to recognize previous RequestWord ministry history where appropriate. The prayer text itself is treated as sensitive and should only include information you genuinely want used for prayer and ministry administration.

Website problem reports

If you report a website problem, RequestWord records the page, problem category, time, a technical stage label, any request reference already displayed on the page, and the description you choose to provide. You may optionally provide an email address and ask to be notified when the problem is resolved. Automated failure reports contain only limited technical information and do not intentionally include form contents, card details or passwords. Problem reports are used to investigate, fix and prevent website failures and to send a resolution notice where requested.

Third party services and international transfers

Stripe processes payment information under its own privacy terms. RequestWord.com is hosted through Cloudflare infrastructure, which can process technical connection and security information. Email providers process messages sent to and from the ministry. If you choose optional analytics, Microsoft Clarity processes limited website-usage and technical information for usability analysis. These providers have their own data-protection arrangements and may process information in more than one country. Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, RequestWord relies on the transfer mechanisms and safeguards applicable to the relevant provider and processing, as required by data-protection law. You may contact RequestWord for further information about safeguards relevant to your data.

How long information is kept

Information is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, taking account of ministry administration, completion of the request, possible complaints or legal claims, safeguarding considerations, and Czech tax or accounting obligations. When information is no longer needed, it should be deleted or anonymised where reasonably possible.

Personal ministry involving minors

Paid Personal Word requests involving someone under 18 are accepted only from a parent or legal guardian. The completed word is delivered to that adult rather than directly to the minor. RequestWord asks for only the minimum details needed and does not deliberately establish direct private email contact with a minor for a paid Personal Word.

Your rights

Where GDPR applies, you may have rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability and objection, depending on the legal basis and circumstances. Where processing relies on consent, consent can be withdrawn for future processing. To exercise a privacy right, email prophecy@requestword.com. You can also complain to the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů) or another competent supervisory authority.

Cookies and analytics

RequestWord does not use advertising pixels. Optional Microsoft Clarity analytics may be used, but only after you choose Allow analytics. Clarity is used to understand anonymous usability patterns such as clicks, taps, scrolling, layout friction, browser or device issues, and drop-off in the request flow. If you choose Necessary only, Clarity is not loaded and requesting, payment, navigation and accessibility continue normally.

The Clarity project is configured with project-wide Strict masking and its project-level Cookies setting is Off. RequestWord uses Clarity Consent Mode with advertising storage always denied. Sensitive request areas are explicitly masked, and Clarity is excluded from administrative, management, confirmation and other customer-record surfaces.

RequestWord does not use Clarity's Identify API and does not intentionally send names, email addresses, request IDs, prayer or prophetic text, health or relationship information, payment details, Stripe identifiers, contribution amounts, uploaded-file names, or similar personal values through Clarity custom events or tags. Custom events are limited to anonymous flow events, and tags are limited to harmless categorical values such as the tested flow version and page entry point.

You can change or withdraw your analytics choice at any time using the Analytics settings control in the site footer. Withdrawing analytics consent tells Clarity that advertising and analytics storage are denied for future use. Payment providers and other external services may use their own necessary technologies when their services are used.
