Do not begin with condemnation
A delayed word does not automatically mean you failed God. It also does not automatically mean the prophecy was correct. Start with humility rather than blame.
Separate the word from your interpretation
Sometimes the original impression and the meaning we attached to it are different things. Timing, method and scale are especially easy to assume. Write down what was actually said and separate it from what you expected.
Allow the possibility of error
Prophetic ministry is partial. A word may have been misunderstood, poorly expressed or simply wrong. Admitting that possibility is not unbelief. It is part of responsible discernment.
Do not suspend your whole life
Waiting for a prophecy should not stop you from living, working, healing, building relationships or making wise decisions. God is able to guide you while you keep moving.
Trust God more than the prophecy
The goal is not to preserve a prediction at any cost. Your trust belongs in God. Even when a word disappoints you, your relationship with Him can continue to deepen.
